SMEs are the lifeblood of the economy. But too many small businesses struggle to access the finance they need to grow and thrive. While the lending ecosystem does not meet the current needs of SMEs, there is also a general lack of awareness that a diverse range of banking and financing options do exist. This is thwarting competition and innovation in the sector. This workstream aims to promote the resilience of the business banking sector and most importantly the strength of its support for business customers.
